Human Performance Optimization
Reef Systems supports multiple branches of the Department of Defense by implementing physical conditioning and maintenance programs. Our solutions are based on holistic, tailored training approaches in which our professionals integrate into medical augmentation teams to support readiness, injury resistance and sustainable peak performance.
Our experience with the Army’s Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) Program grew out of a 2017 pilot project titled the Soldier Readiness Test (SRT) in which Strength and Conditioning Coaches and other specialized personnel were embedded with medical augmentation teams in selected battalions in a modernized, interdisciplinary effort to improve soldier health, resilience, and readiness. The success of the pilot program led to its expansion and plans to adopt H2F across the Army. Our work also helped produce data that contributed to the new Army Combat Fitness Test.
H2F integrates physical and non-physical domains (physical readiness, mental readiness, sleep readiness, nutritional readiness, and spiritual readiness) of training for optimal performance and improved readiness. The system shares its holistic focus with other successful human performance optimization programs such as U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Preservation of the Force & Family (POTFF) Task Force, for which Reef Systems also is providing services. Our healthcare professionals are working with the Air Force and Marines as well as with the Army.
